Ladywell Convent, Godalming, Surrey.

A group of nuns are seen at work and at prayer. They are the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood. Various shots of them working on the nunnery farm - they are seen driving a tractor and milking cows.

Panning shot of the dormitories of the nunnery. A young nun uses a broom to clean her room. Nice shots of the nuns sitting down to a meal together. A nun reads from the bible as they eat.

Shots of two nuns using a cement mixer and shots of the nuns doing building work. They use a plank to flatten some cement. "Their brand of Christianity is muscular, to an almost a masculine degree" states the narrator.

Printing plant is seen - nun stands beside the printing press and checks the results.

Nuns are seen inside a church. There are some very young girls in the church.

A nun cleans an outdoor swimming pool and another cuts the grass with a pair of hand shears. Other nuns are seen fishing. One of the nuns wears sunglasses.

Film ends with shot of doors opening to show a nun kneeling before a statue of the Virgin Mary in prayer.

Note: some of the shots seem rather incongruous - especially the sequence with the cement mixer.
