They say imitation the sincerest form of flattery, but it go too. Deviator, an upcoming Metroidvania game, has sparked heated discussions for its similarities to the Hollow Knight. I reached out to the devs to try and give Deviator the Benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, there was little that showed me that Deviator is going to be able to step out of Hollow Knight's shadow any time soon. 🔍 In today's video, we delve into the artistic influences of Deviator and try to see if there is anything that breaks away from Hollow Knight.
