Kenya continues to be on edge as discontent grows over President William Ruto's administration. On Tuesday, hundreds of protesters hit the streets again demanding Ruto's resignation despite his withdrawal of the controversial finance bill. There were sporadic incidents of violence with police firing tear gas and using water cannons and protesters engaging in vandalism and looting. Government officials say criminal acts will not go unpunished. However, many activists say protests have been "infiltrated" by violent goons, who are unleashed by the government to discredit the demonstrations.
