I built a really bright portable LED light from a chip-on-board panel and a Mobius medical cart battery to use as an outdoor flashlight.

COB LED lights are great for video production but hard to power outdoors for very long. In this video I'm attaching a chip-on-board light to a surplus lithium-ion battery pack to make a portable, long-lasting bright light source for outdoor video sessions. These LED's should work well as indoor studio lights also since there are no wires to deal with. Also works great as a portable work light!

The packs are rated for 26 Amp hours at 11volts. I charged them to 12v instead. I haven't measured the exact amperage so I don't know how long that will last between charges. I expect to get at least 10 hours use even though the battery packs are used.

Parts used:
26 Ah Mobius lithium-ion battery pack (surplus)
70W COB panel (doesn't actually use 70W)
2-position toggle switch
Wire, solder, and screws
