This soccer passing drill is the basis of changing positions in possession and the continuous combination play.
The exercise also aims to improve the players' cooperation and make an automatic instinct of the correct timing and angles of supporting movements without the ball.
Besides, the tasks emphasise developing the reaction ability, and the concentration.

Organisation:
Cones are used to create an approximately 12x16m rhombus.
There is a pole in the centre of the area, which helps the players to create the correct angles of wall passes and movements.
8 players take part in the exercise, they are arranged as shown.
The players between B-C and A-D positions are changing continuously, the two middle players in E are moving and combining, but they stay in position. These players have special rules, since one of them moves and combines horizontally, the other one moves vertically and combines with the players in B-D positions.
Two variations can be seen.
The variations are performed with two balls at the same time.
In Variation 1 the balls are in 'A' and 'B' starting positions.
In Variation 2 the balls are placed in 'A' and 'D' starting positions.
One ball moves between B-E-D positions vertically, the other ball moves horizontally during the combinations.

Description:
This is a complex passing exercise and it demands good quality of passing technique and the high level of cognitive abilities.
Therefore the progression requires strong concentration so it's important for the players to perform the soccer drill with slow intensity and with more touches at first.
