Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2023-24 show transported us back to the drawing board of design in every sense of the word. Not so much because it placed a special focus on “the art of making clothes,” thus finding its irrepressibility through curved silhouettes, hyperbolised proportions and multifac- eted shapes, but because it spoke of an “evolution.”
