In South Korea, 50% of the population lives in Seoul. The same goes for the physician population, so doctors who still stay in the provinces have a special sense of mission. When rural healthcare breaks down, the health of the people who live in rural areas breaks down. They have less access to care just because they live outside of Seoul.
