Because of Overheating of the 1 hp motor I removed magnets to see how many I could run before I had to turn off the motor. In this test I am running only 5 rare earth magnets and at 41 v ac through the Variac and I get about 14 v dc. I can add up to 7 magnets in colder temps and run longer because the heat is less of an issue. This will charge the batteries in the winter more when there is less Solar power available. I am not sure this will self run though but it does accelerate more charging.
