Today's video is dedicated to understanding the concept of Part-Time Ph.D. & its eligibility.
Let me start by addressing the most important concern related to Part Time Ph.D.-

I a part-time Ph.D. even recognized or approved?

In India, the norms for Ph.D. or the regulations are designed & regulated by UGC. Now UGC in India states that Ph.D. in India can be pursued only through a regular mode which includes – please note – which include – both Full Time & Part-time PhD

Thus in India, UGC also recognizes Part Time Ph.D. as a regular Ph.D. Part-Time Ph.D. is specially designed for working professionals. Those people who want to pursue a Ph.D. but do not want to or cannot leave their job
I am currently guiding many Ph.D. aspirants who are in their 30s & 40s and want to pursue a Ph.D. for either growth in their current corporate position, or because they plan to move abroad and a doctorate degree can give them more opportunities abroad. Some aspire to launch their own consultancy, some already are entrepreneurs andsome aree working professionals who like to gain knowledge.
The reason for pursuing a PhD varies between my students however each one of them is passionate about pursuing a PhD while simultaneously pursuing their job.

I have shared several videos explaining the concept of a part-time Ph.D., and 10 facts related to a part-time Ph.D. & even how a part-time Ph.D. differs from a full-time or distance-learning Ph.D. Today our focus is to discuss specifically the eligibility requirement to pursue a part-time Ph.D.?

So what is the eligibility requirement to pursue a part-time Ph.D.?
