Double feature today on Classics Are Better! I am lucky enough to be taking a look at a rare 1976 Chevy Blazer Chalet (488 of 688) and a survivor beast of a 1941 Chevy Ton & a Half Truck. My buddy Carl introduced me to his long time friend Zach (instagram @zacharymendez_) the owner of these rides & turns out a really cool & out going guy. Zach is a mechanic by trade, so he was definitely the man to rescue these classics and bring them back to life.

The 1941 Chevy Truck is a monster, but in pretty good shape for being 80+ years old, best we can tell, it originally came from Montana, Zach has some suspicions it maybe an old logging truck, but can't confirm it. He got the old inline six banger working again after some major attention. Him and his brother are looking for a constructive way to give it new life either as a ramp truck, flat bed, camper, etc..something cool like that.

The Chalet story in a nutshell, Zach was riding his motorcycle through the country side when he saw the Blazer Chalet sitting out by a barn. He told Carl about it and described the place he saw it, turns out Carl knew the guy & had sold him car parts in the past. They called him, and made a deal then went out to pick it up, which luckily I got pictures and some footage from the day. It took some motor work, but Zach got the small block 400 running again.

These Blazer Chalets are actually pretty rare, between the Chevy Chalet and the GM version the Casa Grande, there was only about 1800 or so made between 1976-1977 so there can't be that many still out there today intact. In mint condition these sell for stupid amounts of money. This one needs some TLC, but it is most definitely restorable.
