Ford presents the Active and long versions of the new Transit Custom Nugget. The campervan, launched in diesel in the fall of 2023, should be offered in France with a plug-in hybrid engine at the end of 2024 to compete with the new Volkswagen CaliforniaAvailable to order for several months in some of our neighboring countries such as Germany, the new Ford Transit Custom Nugget is slow to reach the French market. This does not prevent the American manufacturer from developing the range of its campervan, based on the latest generation of the Transit Custom launched at the end of 2023. Two new variants have been added to the catalog ahead of the Caravan Salon 2024 in Düsseldorf, which will be held from August 30 to September 8. The Nugget Active takes the equipment of the Titanium finish and adds styling elements borrowed from the world of SUVs for a more robust look. It receives an all-black grille, black plastic body protection, metal-colored plates on its side skirts and 17-inch two-tone rims. LED rear lights are standard. The treatment continues in the cabin with water-resistant upholstery. In Titanium and Active finishes, the Transit Custom Nugget is also available with an extended wheelbase. This increased length allows the interior kitchen to accommodate a larger worktop and a larger cupboard. The wardrobe is also larger. These two new versions must be offered with the 170 hp 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine in two or four-wheel drive, as well as with the 232 hp plug-in hybrid engine. Ford still plans to market the new Transit Custom Nugget in France with the latter for the end of 2024
