Liberal Senator Alex Antic has described the Albanese government’s misinformation bill as a “shocking piece of legislation”.

“I thought in my time in parliament I’d seen the worst that could be possibly shovelled up with the guillotined and non-debated digital ID bill,” Mr Antic said.

“But this so-called combatting misinformation and disinformation bill in itself I think is even worse.”
