When we "talk story" with others, we sometimes say "an'den?" or "an'den what?" (Pidgin for "and then?"), meaning, "Keep going, tell us more. What happens next?"

Here’s what’s happening next for Bamboo Ridge: Join poet and editor Cathy Song as she leads a reading and short discussion with four writers who have new or forthcoming books from Bamboo Ridge Press. Get a sneak peek into a poetry collection inspired by history, a short story collection, a noir novel, and a collection of mele and poetry.

Host: Cathy Song
Co-host: Misty-Lynn Sanico

The Asian American Literature Festival brings together writers and readers through in-person, online, and hybrid events. Curated and produced by a collective of organizations, this is the only festival of its kind. For the first time in its history, the festival is happening across the country and around the world. This year’s theme, Cosmic Kinship, uses outer space as a way to explore solidarity across distance and time.

The Asian American Literature Festival Collective is a cooperative, devoted to stewarding the futures of Asian American Pacific Islander literature, as art form and social ecosystem.

Organizing partners within the collective include the Asian American Literary Archive, Asian American Writers’ Workshop, Bamboo Ridge Press, The Georgia Review, Kaya Press, Kearny Street Workshop, KidLit with Sarah Park Dahlen, Reorienting Reads, and Slow Currents (Liminal x Satellites). https://www.asianamericanliteraturefe...

As a free and independently funded festival, some of these organizations need your help for accessibility funds and other fees. Here is a link to a fundraiser to help us continue these efforts. https://kaya.kindful.com/?campaign=13...

Mahalo to these funders whose generosity is providing support for this festival: Poets & Writers, NYU A/P/A (Asian Pacific American Institute), and Project Voice Fund.
