Overall Thoughts:

The Sony a5100 is a fantastic entry level camera especially for those starting a YouTube channel or want to start vlogging. I bought this camera on sale for $300 and it comes in black or white. The Sony a5100 has a sleek design and is lightweight which is great for on the go.

What makes this mirrorless camera amazing is the fact that you can change the lens and sony has a wide variety of lens options to choose from. I personally have captured beautiful pictures and recorded a lot of videos with the lens that it comes and it has produce great quality. When it comes to photography it can definitely take amazing pictures especially if you upgrade your lens. The camera has a ton of features and you can adjust the settings based on your preference.

The area where the Sony a5100 shines is recording videos or vlogging. The flip up screen option is absolutely amazing! If you're vlogging or recording a YouTube video, you can flip the screen and see exactly what is being captured on the camera. For example, while recording a YouTube video, you can see how everything looks and if you are positioned properly for the video and how your environment looks in the video. Also, lets say you are reviewing a product, if you want to show something up close, you can look at the flip up screen to make sure if focuses on the right part of the product. The flip up screen also comes in handy for those on the go and like to vlog. As you are walking, you can look at the flip up screen to make sure you're in the video and what all you want to be in the video.

Overall this is a fantastic camera and I would recommend it to those looking for an entry level camera. You can change the lens, it has a ton of features, and the flip up screen is absolutely amazing! This camera is compact and maintains great quality in both pictures in videos.
