In this video I am demonstrating the Tama 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Snare Rosewood Reissue. A beautiful snare reminiscent of the Tama Mastercraft Rosewood Snare released back in the 1980's. That drum was dubbed "the most powerful wood snare ever made" and this reissue is true to that form.

The 5" x 14" drum comes with a 12-ply rosewood shell, 10-hole die-cast hoops, roller bed strainer with extended snares for fine-tuning your tone, ratchet style throw off, and Tama's removable butt plate. Add to those really nice features a satin rosewood finish, and you have one beautiful looking and sounding snare drum.

The drum feels really nice to play. It resonates with a lot of power but also has a very pleasant ring. Tuned up high made playing fast double-stroke rolls easy and even tuned down lower the drum was still very responsive.

Tama is celebrating their 40th birthday by reissuing some of their most celebrated drums. This 40th anniversary drum includes a special hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. These drums are being produced in extremely limited quantity worldwide so you should get one while you can!
