Bhumilakshmi Scheme, Launched by the Government of West Bengal in 2018, Is a Path-Breaking Initiative That Aims to Empower Women Farmers in the State. Under the Bhumilakshmi Scheme, Women Farmers Who Have Been Cultivating Land as Tenants for at Least Two Years Are Eligible to Apply for Ownership Documents. Once Their Application Is Approved, They Will Be Given a Land Patta in Their Name, Which Will Give Them Legal Ownership of the Land They Have Been Cultivating.
