Code indigo were described by Q Magazine back in the 90s as "a cross between Art of Noise, KLF and instrumental Pink Floyd"… the band happily accepted that heady comparison. They were always considered a little 'left field' and avant garde, never really fitting into the electronic music genre from which the co-founders originated, or instrumental rock. And yet, the band flourished, were nominated for several prestigious European music awards and established a good following who appreciated the bands original conceptual albums and style.

This video gives presents the final Code Indigo concert featuring co-founder Robert Fox. The concert was filmed at the E-Scape Festival at The Cut, Halesworth on 2nd June 2018 at the end of the bands mini 'final tour', which included two concerts supporting Tangerine Dream in The Netherlands. There was a certain 'symmetry' to this as their first concerts included supporting the legendary Klaus Schulze for two concerts in the UK and Germany In 1995 and 1997.

The 2018 line up was co founders David Wright and Robert Fox who co wrote all the music performed, Andy Lobban who has been with the band since 1998, replacing original guitarist Nik Smith. Dave Massey (offstage) was rhythm programmer and joined the band in 2004. Carys joined the band in 2012 replacing Louise Eggerton on vocals and Stephan Whitlan joined in 2018 as the guest keyboard player, reflecting the original 3 synth line-up.
