Aston Martin V8 engine ticking noise | QOTW #141

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.3L and 4.7L engines can sometimes exhibit engine noise which comes from an out of specification valve tappet shim.

Finding engine noises can be difficult, so in this video we feature clips of engine rattle, tappet shim ticking, from an engine just outside of the specification, and another example considerably outside of the specification.

The tappet shim noise from the engine is very distinctive and this video should help you identify if the noise your engine is making sounds similar to the example we show, and help enable you to define what is wrong with your engine and how to fix your Aston Martin engine
