In the last few days, former Austin motor Co 0-6-0ST 'Victor' made it's debut at the lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway since arriving in a partially restored state in 2009. Being one of three powerful 0-6-0STs built to rival diesel locos, she has many features not normally associated with industrial locomotives, such as roller bearings, Walscharts valve gear and rocking grates, self-cleaning smoke-box and more.

She is expected to be a welcome addition to the L & H R fleet, being just as powerful as a black 5! She should make light work of the 3.2 mile line. This was only her 4th day back in service and her third solo running! She is also currently the only loco to be facing toward Haverthwaite rather than Lakeside, which makes for some interesting shots.
