These are the Vacuum Thermal Evaporation systems available in the Advanced Material Research Laboratory (AMReL), University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. The first thermal evaporator is a manual operational one which mostly used for semiconductor thin film (CdS, CdTe, CdCl2, etc.) depositions. The second thermal evaporator (Edwards AUTO 306 Vacuum Coater) is a fully automated one that is usually used for metal (Au, Ag, Cu, etc.) deposition.
