Belonging is a term that I've struggled with throughout my life. I constantly felt like I didn't belong and that a person like me was not wanted in society. I mainly derived my self worth and this feeling of belonging from being represented in media and being surrounded by people who I relate to.

Spider-man Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse were two movies that fundamentally changed the way I view belonging and how I can find strength in my own story.
