When the team here at Omaze first tried to contact Oceanne to tell her she’d won a prize, she actually blocked our calls (twice) because she didn’t recognise the numbers. Even when we eventually got through, via text message, her initial reply was “this must be a joke.” But, luckily for Oceanne, we weren’t going to give up that easily.
Arriving at her friend's flat in Barking, where she currently resides, we sang Oceanne a christmas carol she’ll never tire of listening to. Swapping out a few of the lyrics, we revealed that Oceanne was, in fact, the Grand Prize Winner of our London House Draw.

Overwhelmed, Oceanne, a mature student studying to become a paediatric nurse, burst into tears at the news, explaining “it’s a very good feeling to know that you’ve got your own home.” And what a home this £5,000,000 townhouse in luxurious West London will be.

Having recently spent an extended period of time in hospital herself, Oceanne was thrilled to have supported NHS Charities Together too, going on to say, “I know firsthand how incredible the work the NHS does is - I owe my life to the NHS - I wouldn’t be here today without them.”
