Shah Rukh Khan: "I did not realize when I started out that I would get this level of importance, and would reach this level. But I think the reason for that is that I have kept my life simple and focused on my work. When I got the opportunity to entertain people, I did not pass up on it. I wasn't fussed about the medium - I did theater, television and live shows. I worked where there was dignity of labour. I wanted to make people happy. Of course, everyone works hard. Some succeed, some do not. I personally do not give myself much importance. I do value it but I make fun of myself."
