Two solid entry level diagnostic machines - TopDon ArtiDiag Pro and Autel MaxiCheck MX808S - both very capable, with very similar possibilities. I've recently swapped TopDon for Autel, since I feel more at home with their menu layout and commands. Both machines are more than adequate for most garages, especially if you don't want to dwell into programming and just need bi-directional control (you can activate locks, windows, solenoids, etc. using the tool) and all systems access - which is good enough for most people really. And they're not breaking the bank, costing around £360-£460 respectively. Autel is more expensive and so are the updates I think, me personally - I think I'm more towards the Autel, but then again - I've been using an Autel product for more than three years, so I find my ways easier with them. TopDon is very similar (based on) Launch diagnostic, so if you're used to them, you'll be at home here. All in all, both have exactly the same capabilities, interface differs, but that's just a matter of preference. Both are hardwired to the cars (cable, not wireless), so they charge whilst using and you won't loose communication, but you're restricted with the lenght of the cable supplied. Let me know what you think, both will do the job equally well in my opinion, so there are no winners here, just two very similar and as capable units for a no-fuss garage or a DIY that will give you a ton of options but won't destroy your budget. See you on the next video!
