I dialed in a shot using this electric coffee grinder using beans roasted less than 1 month ago. About 3 weeks to be exact. While it only has 4 settings in the espresso range, I was able to pull an almost optimal shot. 25 second brew with 2 addition seconds to get to 1:2 ratio of 16 gram coffee and about 32 grams espresso.
I was able to taste the flavors called out on the package but it was a tiny bit bitter when doing 1.33 clicks. A tiny tiny bit sour when doing 1.66 clicks. It's a good shot that would satisfy beginner to intermediate espresso makers.

For the price, it is electric and will grind it for you. I understand not everyone would be as picky as I am with espressos so I think this would get good for people starting out or just those who are not as picky.
