First time experience riding the Parawing from BRM. 2.9m plenty of power in 25knots, with a big board and even bigger foil, I am pretty sure I will be able to use the 2.9m from 20knots up. It was a bit of a struggle this time because I had limited time at the morning and I choose to practice on a beach so I very quickly ended up downwind and had to do a lot of upwind paddling. Next time when I go downiding, I wont be as tired cos I won't have to paddle as much and once I am up on foil I can pack down the wing and enjoy the pure bliss of downwindnfoiling. I want to try my 5'5 65l Amos sultan, which might even be easier to get up on compared to the sup in choppy condition. I do like the idea of having a sup tho incase the wind drops while I am out at sea. I am 100% commited to this thing and I love the fact how small, light weight, easy to dry, easy to handle and super easy the relaunch even when the wing is dripping wet. I had this wing submerged more than 10 times so it was like a tea bag but still relaunch and few without any issues (very very impressive and good quality product)! I will deffo use a waist harness when upwind winging because it will perform even better (just like a kite does when you put your weight in from your waist instead of your shoulders). I didn't think it was tangle up too much either. With basic kite knowledge it's very easy to see how to solve any entanglement within minutes. I even chuck it on to of the board and shoved it under my chest while paddling. I was testing the water to see if I could quickly get it off the water incase I end up usint it for wave riding, after a while out I may not have time to put it in the waist bag so I wanted to see if it gets tangled while paddling with it under my chest (good news, it didn't tangled up at all). I am stoked for this thing and sending aloha to the BRM family for making such a rad product 🔥
