Ryan Wesley Routh met Newsweek Romania journalist Remus Cernea several times while in Ukraine. The suspect of the apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump shared his disappointment with Western countries, which, he believes, have failed to support Ukrainians at times. Cernea tells CNN's Erica Hill he was very surprised by Routh's involvement but often "an idealist can become a fanatic, open to do horrible things in the name of a good cause". #cnn #news
