Maribor is a city in Slovenia. In German the city is known as Marburg an der Drau and is located in the region of Štajerska (Stiermarken). The river Drava (Drau in German) runs from the Alps through the historic center of the city. Maribor has approximately 100,000 citizens and is one of the largest cities in Slovenia.
