In this video I show how to weave the bottom of a “knitted” basket.
This is a basket with an unusual bottom and decorative holes on the sides.
I wove large holes on purpose. Because I wanted to emphasize this feature in this weaving.
If you want to reduce the holes, you need to increase the number of racks, thereby reducing the distance between the racks.

A basket with round handles is woven just like this one, only instead of the outer posts there will be rings (handles).

Note! The weaving is symmetrical.

I start from the center of the bottom and weave one side first. I unroll the weave. And I weave the other half symmetrically to the first.
There must be the same number of turns and “steps”!

For weaving you will need:
Tubes (strip width 10 cm) +/- 30 pcs.
• Polymer glue or PVA.
• Scissors.
• Awl or thick knitting needle
• Skewers 2 pcs. (to strengthen the handles)
• Suitable shape.
