I am the memory surfer
Not living in today
underneath the Oklahoma sky
Catching balloons
That almost got away

At once a child
And sometimes king
Seeing through the veil of time
I am the captain of the ship

The memories fall through
The cracks
down to the ocean floor
Like a secret diver I collect them all
And carry them to the shore

Sifting through the endless sand
Where others see illusions
And chaos in the grit
I see only jewels
In the forever bliss
