The new Swift Trekker X is one of the coolest looking vans we’ve seen this year. With its trendy Grey Matter colour, bold graphics, chunky black alloys and side mouldings, this Transit-based pop-top is going to get serious attention on the campsite. And at £73,995 it's keenly priced, too.

But those covetous glances won’t mean a thing if it doesn’t perform how you want it to – what’s far more important is what it is like to drive and live in.

So, what better way to put the Trekker to the test, than taking it to one of our favourite camping locations in the UK, the north Wales coast?

Campervan magazine editor, Iain Duff, heads to Snowdonia to find out if the Trekker has the X factor.
