নন্নি বাজার বাংলাদেশের শেরপুর জেলার নালিতাবাড়ী উপজেলা জনপদের ননী ইউনিয়নে অবস্থিত। সাপ্তাহে প্রতি শুক্রবার এবং মঙ্গলবার দিন বিকেল বেলায় এখানে হাট বসে। নালিতাবাড়ীর সীমান্তবর্তী বিভিন্ন গ্রামের কৃষকেরা নিজেদের উৎপাদিত সবজি বিক্রি করতে আসেন এই হাটে। উপজাতি গারো, চাকমা, কোচ সম্প্রদায় এবং মুসলিম সহ বিভিন্ন জাতের জনগোষ্ঠী কেনাবেচা করতে আসেন এই হাটে। মাটিতে কাগজ কিংবা চাটাই বিছিয়ে বিক্রি করেন বিভিন্ন প্রকার টাটকা শাকসবজি। হাঁস-মুরগি, কবুতর, গরু-ছাগল, মাছ-মাংস, ধান-চাল থেকে শুরু করে নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় প্রায় সকল প্রকার পণ্য এই হাটে কিনতে পাওয়া যায়।

উইকিপিডিয়ার তথ্য মতে এই জনপদের ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে যতটুকু ধারণা পাওয়া যায়, ১৫০০ শতকের দিকে নন্নী এলাকা পুরোটাই পাহাড় ছিলো। এই অঞ্চলে সর্বপ্রথম শেখ বংশের লোকরা পাহাড় কেটে বসতি স্থাপন করেন।

পরবর্তীতে হিন্দু সাহা জাতিরা এখানে এসে বসবাস শুরু করে।

বর্তমান নন্নী বাজারের পশ্চিম,উত্তর পাশে বসবাস করতো শেখ বংশের লোকজন, আর দক্ষিন পাশে বাস করতো সাহা জাতিগোষ্ঠীর লোকেরা।

এই জনপদের বাসিন্দাদের হাটবাজার করতে যেতে হত ঝিনাইগাতী বাজারে। আর তাই একটা সাপ্তাহিক হাট সৃষ্টি করার চিন্তা অনুধাবন করেন ফুল মামুদ শেখের ছেলে ইসমাইল শেখ।

তিনি তৎকালীন হিন্দু এক জমিদার এর কাছে ৩ একর ৭২ শতাংশ জমি ওয়াকফ করে দেন, এবং
বাজারের নতুন নাম দেন ঝাইমারী বাজার। ঝাইমারী বাজার নাম দেওয়ার কারণ হলো তখন এই এলাকা ছিলো পুরোপুরি ঝোপঝাড়ে ভরা।

পরবর্তীতে ইংরেজ শাসন আমলে এই এলাকায় নুনিয়া এক জাতির আবির্ভাব ঘটে। সেই নুনিয়া জাতিতে এক অসাধু জমিদার ছিলো যার নাম ছিল বীরবাহাদুর নুনিয়া। ইংরেজদের সাথে তার নিবিড় সখ্যতা ছিলো। সে বিভিন্ন কাগজপত্রে ঝাইমারী বাজারের পরিবর্তে এই বাজারের নাম দেন নুনি বাজার।

সেই নুনি বাজার বিভিন্নভাবে বিবর্তিত হয়ে নাম হয়েছে নন্নী বাজার। এভাবেই প্রায় ৪শ বছর আগের ঝাইমারী বাজারের নাম পরিবর্তিত হয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছে আজকের নন্নি বাজার।

Nunni Bazar is located in Nani Union of Nalitabari Upazila Township of Sherpur District, Bangladesh. A market is held here every Friday and Tuesday afternoon during the week. Farmers from various villages bordering Nalitabari come to this market to sell their produce. People of various castes including Garo, Chakma, Koch community and Muslims come to shop in this market. Various types of fresh vegetables are sold by spreading paper or mats on the ground. Starting from poultry, pigeons, cows-goats, fish-meat, paddy-rice, almost all types of daily necessary products are available to buy in this market.

According to information from Wikipedia, as far as the history of this town is known, around the 1500s, the Nanni area was all hills. The people of Sheikh clan first settled in this region by cutting the hills.

Later Hindu Saha people came here and started living here.

The people of Sheikh clan lived on the west, north side of the present Nanni Bazaar, and the people of the Saha ethnic group lived on the south side.

The residents of this town had to go to Jhenaigati market to do the haat bazar. And so Ismail Sheikh, son of Ful Mamud Sheikh, conceived the idea of creating a weekly market.

He made a waqf of 3 acres and 72 per cent of land to a then Hindu zamindar, and The new name of the market is Jhaimari Bazar. The reason for giving the name Jhaimari Bazar is that this area was completely covered with bushes.

Later, during the period of British rule, a nation called Nunia appeared in this area. In that Nunia caste there was an unscrupulous zamindar whose name was Bir Bahadur Nunia. He had a close relationship with the British. He named this market Nuni Bazar instead of Jhaimari Bazar in various documents.

That Nuni Bazar has evolved into Nunni Bazar. In this way, the name of Jhaimari Bazaar, about 400 years ago, has been changed and today's Nunni Bazaar has been established.
