We built stairs! The prep work for this project started a couple months ago and it feels good to finally have the stairs built in our cabin. The wood was cut down beginning of this last summer and milled and stored in the loft this winter.

The planks may not be completely dry but we felt they were dry enough to move forward. Only time will tell for sure how they will react as we learn how to dry and use live wood. One thing we know for sure is that we are both very happy to get rid of the ladder in place of these steps.
