After taking a dip in the Gunnison River, we headed back out into the mountains to finish the next half of the ride. With the heat setting back in, and the fatigue from getting to this point, we were in for a treat on this next section of single track.

Sidewinder is the name and it is a brutal trail full of jagged rocks and steep drops. It seems to be an infinite loop of hairpin turns followed by harsh rock faces and angry trees.

I was having the time of my life as always but it was one hell of a battle.
