This is a review of the 2020 DVD of Paramount Pictures’ “Sonic the Hedgehog.” The film stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter and Jim Carrey. This film is based on the Sega Video Game of the same name. The film takes place in a little town in Montana called “Green Hills,” in which the town’s sheriff, Tom Wachowski, gets a job promotion as an officer in San Francisco. One day, his world is turned upside down when he meets a blue hedgehog named “Sonic,” who came to earth from another dimension. The sheriff is amazed by what he sees. Then an evil scientist named “Dr. Robotnik,” comes to the Sheriff’s doorstep that same day, who is willing to capture Sonic and use his powers to fuel his “Egg Shaped Robots,” giving him the nickname “Egg Man” from Sonic. Because of this, the Sheriff and Sonic flee Green Hills to go to San Francisco. Will Sonic and the Sheriff make it to San Francisco in time, or, will Egg Man get the victory?
