The most feared combat aircraft in the world today - the F22 Raptor of the US Air Force filmed at extremely close range doing it's display moves in glorious sunshine.

This video clearly shows the power, beauty and capabilities of this aircraft, and being so close you can see the flaps and ailerons doing their things via the flight control system to make it do what it does so effectively.

This is a fairly tight edit with no time lost with the repositioning, which is often a feature of the US displays.

This was the first time the aircraft had displayed in front of a large public audience in Europe after the planned appearance two years later was cancelled due to weather.

It won every award it was in contention for at the airshow, and the legend was born . . .
