This is intended for beginners learning "La Nopalera" on a diatonic accordion. The video covers the G scale in thirds (GB, AC, BD, CE, DF#, EG, F#A, GB) and the first part of the song. The second part will appear in a separate video.
Accordion players who are interested in this style of music (Tex-Mex, Conjunto) are encouraged to go to www.reyesforo.com where you'll find excellent resources and answers to your questions.
"La Nopalera" can be found on the Homespun Tapes DVD and CD called "Tex-Mex Accordion" which features Tim Alexander, Flaco Jimenez, and Max Baca. Please note that the Homespun Tapes misspells the title as "La Napolera;" however, the correct spelling is "La Nopalera."
The accordion in this video is a Hohner Panther in the key of GCF (sol in Spanish).
