Swahili is a Bantu language initially spoken by the Swahili people in Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique. It has over 200 million speakers, mostly in Tanzania.

Zulu is a Southern Bantu language of the Nguni branch spoken and indigenous to Southern Africa. It is the language of the Zulu people, with about 29 million speakers. According to Ethnologue, it is the second-most widely spoken of the Bantu languages, after Swahili.
