BEER BRAISED SAUSAGE RECIPE
__________________________________________________________________

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
6 Bratwurst Sausages
1 Onion
1 Bell Pepper
2 Cloves of Garlic
Your favourite Beef Rub.
1 16oz can of Dark Lager (or beer of choice)

METHOD:

Step #1
To begin start by slicing your onion and bell pepper into 1/4 inch slices as well and mincing your garlic. Next, get your coal hot and ready for cooking around 375 degrees.

Step #2
With your grill ready to go place 1/4 stick of butter into your cast iron pan followed by your onions, peppers, and garlic. Stir them around for a few minutes then add in your seasoning. After a few minutes place your sausage into the skillet and cover with 1 16oz can of dark lager or beer of choice. Place them over the coals for a few minutes to allow the beer to come up to a simmer then place indirect

Step #3
Place the skillet back over the coals for a few minutes to allow the beer to come up to a simmer then move the skillet over to the indirect side of the grill and continue to cook the sausages for an additional 10 minutes (or until 165F).

Step #4
After the Sausages have been braised, remove them from the skillet and sear them for around 30 seconds per side over direct heat to give a little bit of grilled flavour. Once seared, remove and proceed to build your buns.

That’s it, enjoy.
