Meet Barney. I brought Barney home so that he would have comfort and love in his final hours. Despite knowing that he was fading rapidly, I did everything I could plus something new to try to bring him around. By day 3, he began to eat and has shown improvement everyday since then. By day 7, we could celebrate! Please remember I am not a veterinarian but I am following vet instructions in regards to the "barnyard shots" Barney receives. It is the vets own mixture of B vitamins including a higher amount of B-12 and the antibiotic Penicillin. The B-12 is for appetite stimulation and the Penicillin is a wide spectrum antibiotic. To my knowledge, Barney is the youngest animal that has ever received these injections. There is no way for me to know if it was the constant care, the injections or Barney himself that made him better. I am just thankful that he did.
