it is like the foundations of your house, it needs to be sturdy and strong to support the sculpture, if it isn't sturdy, it will get wobbly and eventually fall down and cause a lot of tears and frustrations.
hopefully these little tips helps the aspiring sculptor, or inspire someone to have a go at sculpting on a shoestring budget.
