I worked hard on this! The character is Eshonai from Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive. These books are so cinematic that I felt I had to try to make an animatic! This scene in particular is from Words of Radiance, Interlude 5. I wanted to make my own music, too, but I found out that music is a) hard to write and b) you need a ton of software, and it ain't free. In the end I used Samuel Kim's version of The Last Agni Kai as a base, with modifications. I altered the timing, added wind, drum beats, and the whole middle section where Eshonai goes into the realm of the Stormfather. I'm really proud of that. Oh, and I did some drawing, too. I found out that I'm lousy at staying 'on model' when drawing characters lol. But it was definitely a fun exercise! It was fun to work on Eshonai's character design, giving her a body type for warform and designing some animate-able carapace details.

If Rhythm of War wasn't coming out in two days I would probably keep finnicking with this forever lol but no I have to stop now I have to stop and upload it and move on. Anyway. Enjoy "Rhythm of Resolve", my first animatic!
