【STORY】
　The prefectural final of the National High School Soccer Championship.
Yoichi Isagi, a high school sophomore playing as a forward,
ended his team's hopes of reaching the national tournament
with a careless pass to his teammate in front of his own goal.
　 He received an invitation to the "Blue Lock",
a dormitory established for the purpose of nurturing strikers
who will lead Japan to World Cup glory.
The coach, Jinpachi Ego, declared in front of 300 high school forwards from all over the country:
"What Japan needs are strikers filled with egoism.",
and hammered into them the fact that they were facing a battle for survival, one that would decide the rest of their soccer careers.
"You have to be the world's biggest egoist to be the world's best striker."
Chasing their dreams, the 300 soccer players passed through the doors to the prison, Isagi in their midst.
Who will be the striker who revolutionizes Japanese soccer,
born through the sacrifice of the careers of 299 soccer players?
