Quick video showing off some of the cool tricks you can do with our Automated mill...
Edging.
You can edge a bunch of boards stacked on top of each other at the same time. Wany, crook boards no problem. Imagine how quick fillets can be produced, or tomato stakes.
Thicknessing.
Boards out of spec, or your bottom slab has sunk producing thick middle sections. No problem just send it through your thicknesser.
Ideally the platform could have been higher, so you would not have to bend down. You should get the idea though.
Australian eucalyptus logs are the worst. The best timber produced from these logs are quarter sawn boards, but they always end up very crook due to the high stress in the logs. So, over size them with your 12" or 10" swing-blade and resaw them back to perfect straight before drying. Stack them three at a time. Use the off cuts for your fillets.
