I had to make numerous trips from the city to the cabin in the woods because I needed a lot of insulation, and it's bulky. I need a total of 16 packs, but only 3 fit in the car. After insulating some walls, I immediately attached the vapor barrier. I did this to quickly cover at least one wall with imitation timber cladding... I really wanted to see how it would look.

To reiterate, I had never worked with boards before and had never built anything. What's my conclusion? Yes, the cabin might not be perfect, but with access to water, you can spend a lot of time here. If you dream of building your own cabin and are afraid to start due to a lack of experience... just begin, and everything will work out.
