In this video I beat Risk of Rain 2 without any items on Monsoon, and break the final boss in multiple ways.

My thoughts on the video

I apologize that this video has taken so long to get out; I've had a few setbacks in my personal life. As I said in the outro, this video was an experiment, I wanted to see if a run like this would work in this format. My 2 previous Risk of Rain 2 videos covered Easy but time consuming runs, this time I wanted to see what would happen if I used a similar format on a difficult but shorter run. Unfortunately I don’t think it worked very well. In my other 2 videos I documented incremental changes over a long period of time; in this one I documented challenges and strategies I used in the run. At certain points in the video it seems like I’m making a tutorial, which was not my intention. The other issue with documenting strategies is they’re subject to change, this is where I really struggled. I kept improving my strategy, so writing the script for this video was a pain. Everytime I thought I figured out the strategy I would write the script then gather gameplay footage. Once I started gathering gameplay I'd learn something new, and have to either completely scrap my script or heavily alter it. I went through this process like 3-5 times. I think I could have done a lot better of a job on the script, I was just sick of working on it and wanted to move on to editing. And you could say that I need to do better research, which is true. Every time I'd find something new I’d assume I found everything and move on. This process heavily changed the video from it’s original concept to the final product. This was originally supposed to be a 5-8 minute video that wouldn’t take very long to make, instead it ended up being the most time consuming video yet, and the longest video on my channel. With that being said I think this video turned out alright, and I'm very proud of my editing in this video in particular. (I can definitely work on enunciation tho) I know the vast majority of my audience doesn’t care about any of this, but i want to explain why the video is the way it is. Like I said this video was an experiment, and I've learned a lot from making it.
