Video script : First of all, Evolution is both a law and a theory. The law is called "evolution" and the theory is called "Theory of Evolution". These two should not be confused with each other. This is not specific to evolution; it applies to all scientific theories. It is also a common misconception in science that theories do not become laws once they are proven. A "theory" in the scientific sense is a set of explanations for a law or laws that have been intensively tested, criticized, and challenged, and that have successfully passed the rigorous tests of science and of time. A scientific theory is therefore not inferior to laws; on the contrary, it is a system of explanations that can unify the laws of nature and explain them as a whole, in a more comprehensive and powerful way. The Theory of Evolution is a set of methods, data and analyses that we have created in our effort to understand the law of evolution in nature. The Theory of Evolution examines the "why" and "how" of evolution. in other words, evolution is a law of nature, and what explains this law can roughly be called the theory of evolution. let me give you an example from physics for a better understanding: Gravitation is a law of nature just like evolution, it exists whether we study it or not, that's how the process works, but for example, if we study it, it is called as follows. Newton's Theory of Gravity, Einstein's Theory of Relativity, Quantum Theory of Gravity are theories that examine this law of nature, why and how it is this way.
