Today, I’m sharing something personal—my grandmother’s old homestead gun, a Savage Model 24 chambered in .22 LR and .410 shotgun. While many would pick an AR-15 as the perfect homestead gun today, back in the 60s and 70s, simpler firearms like my grandparents' choices got the job done. From my granddad's Remington 788 to this humble Savage, these guns served their purpose well. With her recent passing, this gun holds even more sentimental value.
