A bonus track off the original version of The College Dropout posted by Consequence back in 2016, as well as track number 11 off one of the alt tracklists shown in jeen-yuhs act II, Keep The Receipt is a collaborative track with Wu Tang clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard, at the time a new signee to roc-a-fella records going by the name 'Dirt McGirt'!.

With such a high profile feature from Ol Dirty Bastard, it seems strange that Kanye would deliberately choose not to include the track on the final project, but as he revealed in a 2003 interview with Mike Love, he didn’t like the song because he knew it was the safer radio hit when opposed to the more forward thinking tracks on the album like Through the Wire and Jesus Walks.

However, while Keep the Receipt didn’t make the cut for The College Dropout, Kanye would still end up using part of Ol Dirty Bastards chorus for the track Get Em High on the final project, and then later even appeared to use part of the chorus for his 2007 hit track Stronger, so the track’s legacy lived on.

The track was featured on various presumably unofficial mixtapes released around 2004, including Kon The Louis Vuitton Don and the Freshmen adjustment tape.
