Fishing for big bluegills during the spawning season is a tradition that goes back generations and one that I don't intend to let die. There is plenty of controversy around whether or not fishing for bluegills on beds is "ethical" or "sporting" but I find myself more in the camp of "a lot of fun". That said, just yanking them out with live bait is pretty easy, and I really enjoy the challenge of fooling these fish with artificials and flies. So, enjoy this video in which I show you the basics, as well as a few more unconventional ways to catch these awesome fish.
